This past week there have been many celebrations leading up to the founding of our nations oldest city, St Augustine. On Tuesday September 8, Our Blessed Mother's Birthday, as with previous years, there was a re-enactment of the day 450 years ago Pedro Menendez and 800 Spaniards landed on the shores of St Augustine, followed by a procession through the historic streets and a Mass commemorating the first Catholic Parish, Here is some news coverage: http://www.news4jax.com/news/special-mass-for-st-augustines-450th/35164784
The entire Mass is here http://www.catholictv.com/shows/americas-catholic-television-network/mass-thanksgiving-saint-augustine
I am so blessed to live in St Augustine and my family are active parishioners at the Cathedral Basilica Of St Augustine. I was even more blessed to have won a drawing for two invitations to the special mass. So as always I brought my camera and reverently took photos of the Mass. I did not use a flash nor move around to take these so they are not my best work.

Welcome Lukas Elliot! You were born at home in the water on August 26th, 2015 at 7:13 PM. you weighed 8 pounds and 4 oz and were 20 inches in length. Your mommy was such a warrior during the over 24 hours of off and on contractions. But when your bag of waters released just a few minutes later and few strong pushes you were born in the birthing tub.
Your home water birth was the second HBAC (homebirth after cesarean ) I had the honor of attending as your mom's birth doula and photographer when your big brother Owen was born!
After a few photos , there is a sweet slideshow. Scroll slowly and enjoy !

Yesterday I participated in the Live Love Latch! Jacksonville. Live Love Latch! Is a National Breastfeeding Month celebration presented by La Leche League USA and hosted by LLL Groups throughout the country.
It was a spectacular day of vendors, raffles, door prizes, local awards, and family centered activities to celebrate the community of lactation support in Jacksonville!
The event was for all supporters: women, men, those breastfeeding, those who have never breastfed, those who have weaned, grandparents, friends, moms who have dedicated themselves to exclusive pumping, those who give breastfeeding assistance, and their children!
