I offer a natural, lifestyle, and documentary approach, however I also offer portraiture and posed approaches. Depending on your individual preferences.
This weekend across many Catholic Parishes, the Sacrament of First Holy Communion was celebrated. We are parishioners at The Cathedral Basilica of St Augustine, I happened to bring my camera (as usual haha) even though I did not have a child receiving a Sacrament this year. I did have a several friends whose sweet children did.
I served as a Extra Ordinary Eucharistic Minister so I did not take photos of them Receiving their First Holy Communion. But I captured a few precious moments before and after . I was also approached by a beautiful family that asked me to take their family photos after Mass. Apparently they had hired another professional photographer that did not show up! I was so sad for them and agreed to capture precious family moments.
I did not use a flash during the Mass to keep the Reverence and respect due . I did use a flash for the group shots after the Holy Mass.
I am so happy I grabbed my camera bag today!
Enjoy! Have a Blessed Week!

A few months ago I was asked by The Sisters of Life up in New York to take photos of two people here in St Augustine that were in the Cenacolo Community . A man named Ryan and a young lady named Erin . They were doing a article about them . And how the community has helped them.
Here is a link to The Sisters of Life PDF of the Magazine where my work is published http://www.sistersoflife.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/imprint-spring-2015-for-web2.pdf
In the wee hours of the morning of March 16 I got the call from Leah that she thought she was in early labor. Being a birth doula also, I got up and prepared to head to her home. Because she was a fast laboring momma with her previous babies.
This was the first birth I was just the birth photographer and not doula . However I have been to many births as a doula/photographer.
I arrived close to 3 am. And Leah did not appear to be in active labor . Even when she was silently pushing we could not tell! She was beautiful and amazing! Here baby was born around 5:30 am.
The gender of their baby was a surprise also. You can see in the photos the look of surprise.
After over 3 months of being away from our home parish, The Cathedral Basilica of St Augustine, www.thefirstparish.org Due to major renovations . Here is current local news coverage http://www.actionnewsjax.com/news/news/local/renovations-finished-cathedral-basilica-st-augusti/nkgG8/
My son altar served this morning at the 9 am Palm Sunday Mass and I took a few photos. I will do another more detailed photoshoot asap. But wanted to share a few photos . Mostly of the choir loft. And the new beautiful statue of Our Lady of La Leche. Locals know that the Mission and Shrine grounds has a very special to place, The Chapel where Our Lady of La Leche is .
Enjoy a sneak peak :)
