On Saturday, July 15th I got up at 2:40 am to drive my kids to Delray Beach . It was a almost 4 hour drive south. I am used to getting up in the middle of the night for birth so luckily I was ok with it. I prepared the night prior , had everything packed and in the SUV. SO when I got up I made coffee and warmed the GF egg and English muffins.

The kids slept while I drove.

It was a hot day in the sun. IT was a first time for Ethan (14) and Felicity (11)  competing in the Junior Lifeguard Competition.

Felicity and Ethan were the only two representing our county, St Johns. They did their best against some brutal competition. Clearly south Florida is all about swim team. And VERY competitive. Felicity took SECOND place in the Beach flag race. She is the cute blonde in the Red swimsuit. With the face of determination .

We will go on to the Nationals in a few weeks that will be closer to home , in Daytona.

On Sunday, June 4, 2017 on the Pentecost Sunday, Sister Varada Grace Ford made her Profession of First Vows. This is the first time in over 20 years a Sister has professed First Vows with the Sisters of Saint Joseph http://www.ssjfl.org/

It was such an honor to be asked to photograph this day.
