IAPBP 2017 Birth Photography Image Competition | St Augustine-Jacksonville Photographer

January 17, 2017  •  2 Comments

Each year since 2011 the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers (IAPBP), which I am a proud member, holds a birth photography image competition check it out here Image Competition site

I entered last year and again this year! Sure who would not love to 'win' one of the amazing  prizes. It is more about showing through photography, the true beauty of birth. To change the views of what movies and television portrays birth as. There will be over 600 images entered.

Here are the rules of the birth image competition from the website official rules

Photograph must have been taken within the 2016 calendar year, January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Members may enter one image per category: Labor, Delivery, Postpartum and Birth Details. For the purposes of this competition, the end of delivery and the beginning of postpartum is determined once the placenta has been delivered during the birth process. Postpartum images should be photographed within the first 48 hours of birth to qualify. The new Birth Details category has been included this year to feature the many beautiful details of birth that are often overlooked. This includes, hands, feet, umbilical cords, etc.
